St. John’s sent $443.83 (note: this is an update from the amount reported in the July Record) to United Thank Offering this year, contributing to UTO’s work around the globe. These donations support projects in Louisiana, Haiti, California, Tanzania and many other places. The UTO’s roots go back to Episcopal women’s ministry beginning in the early 1870s.
How does it work? Pick up a box or envelope at the church, and throughout the year as you give thanks for your own blessings, drop a few coins in to help bless others. We gather them each year and send them to do the work of the wider church.
