Financial Peace: A Spiritual Course About Money

Nathan and I discovered Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University just after our first daughter was born. I was a new stay-at-home mom, and we had some fears about our finances and questions about budgeting, saving and making sure that we were doing all of the right things for our family. The program completely changed how we interact with money – we had expected that. What surprised us was that it also deepened our faith, strengthened our marriage and gave us the tools we needed to teach our children about money.

I became even more passionate about the program when I led a class at St. John’s last year. Dave Ramsey is incredibly entertaining, and there was a lot of laughter as we learned about getting rid of debt, budgeting, saving for retirement, buying insurance, and giving – all with an eye toward scripture. More importantly, I saw couples learning to work on their finances as a team, as lives and families were changed. I can’t wait to have the opportunity to share it with more people this fall.
